Out of all the people things and establishments they stole from they never stole from a magic user. They got all the information they could about the mage evan down to the contraction plans to his home. They charted out all the likely places for magical traps and ways to get around them, and they did. They were carful not to touch any thing that might be magiced as they looted. On their way back out Astimar spotted a red gem on a shelf all thoughts of being carful of magic faded as he reached for the gem to place it in his bag. As he touched it a flaring pain surged through his left arm . Gilvas came to the aid of his friend as the gem burrowed it way into Astimar’s palm. Gilvas reached for Astimar touching the gem. Pain shot through his body as he tried to pull away. Light began to come frome the gem burning them both. Astimar finally managed to pull away as a force of energy pushed him back causing him to hit his head and go unconscious and Gilvas was converted into ash. When Astimar woke he was on the steps of the mages house his left hand wrapped in cloth and the memory of his friend being desegrated in front of his eyes.
RP Sample: Astimar was glad the sun was covered by the cloudy overcast so he would not have to suffer his poor vision in the light as he walked through the crowded streets. His thoughts trailed off as they often do now a days as he stealthily took and apple from a merchants wagon. He was hoping he could find a job that required his expertise soon as he was running low on coin. What better place to do that he thought to himself as he opened the door to a poorly kept inn.
