Full Name: Adonis Eryx
Age: 22
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Magic: Adonis does have minor healing abilities.
Birthplace: Palanthas
Strengths:
- Adonis is incredibly intelligent, due to years of intense study
- He is very kind and gentle, even to the roughest of beings
- He is a peaceful young man, but has nothing against fighting when for the right cause
Weaknesses:
- Adonis isn't a very good listener
- He hasn't trained much in the way of weaponry
- He has never been, and vows never to be, a perfectionist or extremely cleanly person
Description: Adonis is well built, and quite muscular, even though he spends most of his time studying. He has short brown hair and dark blue eyes, and is almost always found wearing pure white robes, though he sometimes wears a traveling cloak also.
Adonis is a peaceful, friendly man, but is still deep in his youth, so often times he can be a bit hasty and short tempered. Most of his friends or aquantices look up to him as a leader.
Weapons: Adonis, even though most clerics do not, carries a small dagger attached to his belt, for defensive purposes only. Other than that, he prefers to stay away from the fighting.
History: Adonis was born in Palanthas, and grew up with his father, mother, and one sibling, Arlin, his younger brother. When Adonis was but a boy his father left home on a fairly mysterious trip to visit Solamnia, never returning. Adonis' mother took up the house, raising her boys as best as she could.
At age 14, Adonis already showed great interest in the gods. Actually, he always spoke of their amazing feits and read about them in many scrolls and books that he picked up from place to place. His mother, not being a very loyal servant of the gods herself, thought of it as just a childhood phase.
But as the years wore on, Adonis began showing more and more interest, often times being found at the Holy Temple of Paladine, praying. At age 17 he was spoken to by a cleric of Paladine. The young man believed that he was bound for a life of servitude to Paladine, the Great god of light.
After 1 more year passed by Adonis moved into the Temple, studying and praying further with the other clerics. Soon he was accepted as one of them.
RP Sample: Adonis paced the halls solemnly, hands folded into the sleeves of his robes, apparently in deep thought. He ignored the other clerics and passerbys who wandered aimlessly through the halls, and concentrated only on what was inside of his mind at the moment.
Walking to the doors to the balcany on the top floor of the Temple, he gazed out at the view of Palanthas. When a gentle hand tapped his shoulder he barely noticed.
"Revered son. May I ask what you are doing out here, all alone?" Said a familiar voice from behind.
Adonis turned to face Jacent, one of the oldest clerics who lived in the Temple.
"Only admiring this wonderful view," Adonis replied with a smile. "It is great to see you again, sir. How have you been?"
"Fine. I've been just fine. But I can tell you were doing more than just gazing out at the few, young Adonis. Is something troubling you?"
"Well, yes, sir, there is something on my mind . . ." Adonis muttered. "I have just been thinking lately. Is there something more that I am supposed to do?"
"All you can do, Revered son, is ask for Paladine's guidance. I assure you he will guide you down the correct path." Jacent said warmly. "Now go about your studies and be troubled no longer."
