History: Jathis, a Knight of Solamnia that has always lived by the code Est Sularus Oth Mithas (My Honor is my Life) even through these hard times the knights are facing. He has been all over Krynn and on his travels at the age of twenty five he made the acquaintance of an elven woman named Falanathakyla. At fist they could not stand one another, constantly arguing on how thing should be handled in dire situations. But soon they learned that putting their ideas together had a greater result, or the same. After some time they started to like each other and soon love.
Falanathakyla had her brother forge her a sword that would never break and shine in the darkest of places, and gave it to Jathis as a symbol of her love. The sword was as beautiful as her with all shades of blue, green and gold that seemed to shift with each movement. Soon after that they heard rumors of a winged demon attacking nobles at night as they traveled. Upon reaching a town near the rumored threat they stopped to rest at an inn. Jathis was not received well. They would not serve him nor give him a room. This enraged Falanathakyla causing her to speak sharply. One of the patrons in the inn throw a glass mug full of ale striking Falanathakyla in the head shattering on her skull and cutting her open. Jathis move swiftly to cover her as more things began to be thrown. He rushed her out of the inn and out of town to some nearby woods. Falanathakyla could hardly stand she was bleeding badly. Jathis healed her as mush as he could but still had to bandage her up.
Not many leaves were on the trees at this time of year and on this night in the light of the moons the sky could be clearly seen from the woods as a shadow with the wing span of thirty feet flew over head and passed by. Jathis drew his sword and grabbed Falanathakyla rushing for cover. It must have been to late for the shadow made another pass and began to circle lower and lower. It could now be seen that the shadow was a green dragon as it landed. Jathis griped his sword and Falanathakyla and they became over taken by dragon awe. The green moved forward and Jathis forced himself to bring up his sword and charge. The green reared up knocking Jathis back with its tail causing his sword to spin in the air and land perfectly in the dirt as Jathis crashed into a tree. Seeing the sword the green move to take it as an arrow struck it eye. The green roared as it took in a deep breath and breathed its chlorine gas on its attacker, Falanathakyla. The green took the sword and flew of heading west as Jathis rushed to the aid of Falanathakyla. Jathis saw the direction the dragon flew it didn’t go far before landing. Before he would set for revenge he buried Falanathakyla.
Soon he was face to face with the dragon once more in its lair, a structure in the woods that must have dated back before the cataclysm. This is the exacts of how this battle took place in the eyes of Jathis.
As I stepped into the central courtyard of the structure I could see the dragons gold mound and my sword at the foot of it. The sword given to me by my love, my Falana. At the top of the mound I could see the dragons head looming over another sword with green scales for the hilt. Dragon awe took my just as it did before in the woods. The dragon stared. “ Unwise human for you to have followed me here to my lair.....” The dragon was about to say more but I forced myself to cut him off. “ You have slain my lover to add this sword my sword to your hoard.” I once more forced myself to point at the sword at the foot of his mound. “ And I make an oath this very moment that by that sword you will die this night!” The dragon was now enraged and began to rush I hesitated for only a second as I forced my self to charge. The dragon reared up again just as I thought he would and swung its tail at me. I slid beneath the strike and the dragon and reached the sword grabbing up the sword and striking while still on my back. The sword slid right off the scales with know effect. The dragon whipped the tail at me again as I rolled out of the way and jumped to my feet. Gold was sent flying in all directions with another flick of the tail and I covered my face as the gold struck. Again the tail came and I blocked with my sword. The impact sent me crashing in to a pile of gold knocking the wind out of me. I became disorientated. I looked to the top of the mound where I fist saw the dragon where the sword with the green dragon scale hilt was. Falana stood there now with one hand on the hilt and the other stretched out as if beckoning me. He was smiling, she was beautiful than she was gone. As I came back to my senses the dragon was turning about to face me with teeth and claws. I got up and rushed up the mound as claws ripped into gold behind me. I made it to the top just in time diving and griping the green scaled sword and landing on the other side as teeth closed down right behind me sending gold flying over my head. As I looked up the dragon was taking a deep breath leaning his head over the mound. I rush back up thrusting the green scaled sword in the bottom of the dragon mouth and through the top pinning his mouth shut. The dragon must have been shocked that the sword penetrated because him a few seconds before he started flailing his head around giving me enough time to jump on his snout and thrust my sword into the dragons good eye. It seemed like an eternity holding on to the dragon as I stabbed jigged and wrenched my sword in his eye until finally the green dragon dropped and I fell off..
Jathis took the dragons head back to the town. He barged in the inn dropping the head in the middle of the floor. Everyone looked nobody moved no one spoke. Jathis walked to the bar and placed an over flowing bag of gold in front of the bartender. He move passed the bar and into the back and took a room. In the bed he laid and thought of Falanathakyla as he fingered a pin she wore.
RP Sample: Jathis Dal Vortikas wore a brown cloak that covered his face, armor and two swords as he sat by a brook. It would be a few more days before he made it to Palanthas so he decided to rest here. After taking a drink from the brook he laid back and closed his eyes letting his cares fade away knowing he would soon have to pick them back up . His thoughts shifted to dreams of a time when he was once in love. Falanathakyla, (or Falana as he called her) he will always carry a piece of her with him in his heart mind in soul.
