Tas's face split into a wide grin. "You would actually magick me into the middle of a lake! That would be amazing! My friends won't be concerned about a black-robed mage being with them. At least, I don't think they would. Well, you see, one of my friends is a mage. His name is Raistlin. Have you ever met him? I don't know if you would like him. He has a twin brother named Caramon. And then there's Tanis and Flint, and Sturm, of course. Oh, and Kitiara. I can't forget about her! I think she likes me . . . I'm sure you haven't met her before; or have you? Have you ever seen a dwarf or an elf before? Flint's a dwarf, and Tanis is a half-elf. They're really nice. I'm sure you'll like them. Where did you come from? What are you doing here? Who do you need to talk to?"

'Raistlin?', Isilwen thought. 'That was the name of the young mage that recently passed the Test. Perhaps I will have to speak to him while I'm here.' As she thought about the young mage, Isilwen for the most part was able to block out Tasslehoff's chattering. But then, being bored, actually gave in, again, and answered a few of the questions. "I am from Qualinost, so yes I've seen an elf before. Considering I am one...." She shook her hooded head. 'I must be losing it. I'm willingly conversing with a kender.', she thought bemused. When Tas asked again who she was going to talk to, the mage's nostrils flared. "Someone." She then quickened her pace, to get ahead of the group, and away from the kender. Looking ahead, she saw what looked like the flicker of distant lights.

"You're really from Qualinost? I don't think I've been there before, but, then again, I could have visited Qualinost before. I think I have a map of Qualinost here somewhere . . . ." Tas began to rummage through his pack, shaking it and tossing items that were in his way, until, finally, his face beamed and he held up a rather old piece of parchment. "Here it is! Would you like to see it? I can't remember if I made it, or if I borrowed it from someone. Hey, we're almost there!" He exclaimed upon noticing the lights flaring in the distance. "I can't wait! Have I already told you that Otik makes the best spiced potatoes? I'm sure you'll love them."

Though he didn't show it as clearly as Tasslehoff, Sturm shared his joy. A smile did creep up on his face at the sight of the distant lights. Solace... He wondered if any of the others had come already.

Adwyne walked along at a quickened pace, her top knot bobbing along in the breeze. She had her nose firmly planted in a book she had found a few hours ago when she had encountered some travelers on the same path as she. The book looked strangely like one carried by a friend of hers once upon a time. Oh how she did miss that grumpy old elf. So engrossed was Adwyne, that she didn't notice the group she was walking upon, nor did she notice who was in their company until her little head was buried in blackness. "HEY! Marvin! Did you turn out the lights? What the...?" Adwyne stumbled back, and looked up at the person responsible for her blackout. "Isilwen!!! Is that you?? Oh my goodness! I've been searching for you day and night since.... well, I'm sure you remember. Oh, it's so good to see you again. Me and Marvin have missed you, haven't we Marvin? Marvin? Oh never mind. What are you doing here? Where have you been? Oh Ice, I've missed you" With that, Adwyne hugged the elf, with no intention of letting go. So happy was she to be reunited with her long lost friend, she failed to notice everyone else who were by now staring at her.

Isilwen shook her head as Tas started to prattle again. Or rather continued to prattle. She tried to focus on the nearing lights rather than the kender. As she was contemplating weather or not to cast a silence spell, she felt something plow into her legs. With a curse the mage backed up, a spell upon her lips. Looking down down she saw the individual that had run into her. It was none other than Adwyne Thistleknott, the kender that she could never, no matter how hard she tried, get rid of for very long. She looked down in disgust as the kender wrapped her arms around the mage's legs. Isilwen bent down, and with some difficultly, extricated herself from Adwyne. Already knowing that the kender had probably "found" half or more of her belongings, Isilwen pursed her lips and held out her hand. "My things, kender.", she growled. As she watched the grinning kender pulled her componants out of her pouches, Isilwen noticed the book that Adwyne had. "Where did you steal that from?", she asked pointing at the book.

Tasslehoff was over joyed at the appearance of yet another kender. He jumped up in the air, and bounded toward the fray, nearly knocking Adwyne over in the process. "Yayee!" He screamed, so excited he nearly flew out of his shoes (literally). Tas managed to straighten up a bit, and smiled broadly. "Hullo, my name's Tasslehoff Burrfoot." He extended his hand to the other kender. "We're heading for Solace. Have you ever been to Solace?" Tas was so very excited that he was stunned out of further questioning. How could another kender come upon them by chance? This was definately NOT a coincedence.

Rose watched Tas with a shake of her head as they reached the inn. She watched as the others began to get settled down so she turned and walked towards the shadows. She smiled softly as she heard the young Kender speaking she laid down on the ground. She closed her eyes as the summer winds blew in old memories of her past. She watched through her mind's eye her young colt learning to walk, and then how to play with the others.

Adwyne pulled only 2 handfulls of spell componants from her pouches and handed them back to Isilwen with a guilty grin. "Where did you steal that from?" Asked the Elf. "Steal? Ice, you know better than anyone, I would never steal from anyone, why that is just wrong. For your information, I found it at an inn that I was at not too long ago. It was just laying there." What the kender failed to mention was where she had found it. An unimportant detail. Just as she was about to explain the amazing things she had read, Adwyne was nearly bowled over. Regaining her composure, a male kender introduced himself as none other than Tasslehoff Burrfoot! The one and only. Adwyne had heard stories of this kender. Never had she dreamed in a thousand moons she would meet him! "Its a pleasure to meet you, Tasslehoff Burrfoot! My name is Adwyne Thistleknott. Yes, as a matter of fact, I have been to Solice before. Thats where I found this nifty book," Adwyne held up the book she had been reading, "but please, lets not mention that to Isilwen. She tends to get a little sensitive about such things. Was that a unicorn you were riding? You're so lucky. Why are we going to Solice, anyway?"

Drezden had lapsed into silence for a few minutes, but the arrival of another kender was just too much.
"Enough!", he called loudly. "If there is anyone else in the forest who wants to join our 'little' group do it now before we get to Solace!"
He really hoped that no one would respond. He could see the lights in the distance, and he was eager to get to a bed.

"Alright." Tas whispered. "It's a pleasure to meet you Adwyne! Yeah, I was riding a unicorn. It's the first unicorn I've ever ridden. Imagine what the kender back home in Kendermore will think of me now. They'll all say, "Wow! It's the amazing Tasslehoff Burrfoot! Please, Mister Tasslehoff, can we have your signature. Please?" It'll be amazing! We're going to Solace to meet up with a few friends. I haven't seen them in the longest time; five years in fact. You'll love them; well, most of them anyway. What are you doing here? Why are you in the forest? Where did you grow up? I'd love to hear all about you. Want to hear a story?"

Looking down at Adwyne, Isilwen sighed. "Yes I do know you, so I know that you stole that book.", she explained with attempted patience. All the while taking her spell componants back from the kender. "What I don't know however, is how you managed to "acquire" that book and look through it without having your eyeballs melted.", she said genuinely curious at this fact. She shook her hooded head as Tas vaulted off of Rose's back to greet Adwyne. The two acted as though it had be ages since they saw another of their kind. The mage laughed lightly as Drezden became frustrated at all the people joining the traveling party. Think back to other times; she could sympathize. At the mention of Tas telling a story, Isilwen groaned. "I think that perhaps you should wait to do your story telling at the Inn.", she said with a glare hoping that the kender would take the hint. All the same, knowing that he probablt wouldn't.

Drezden, glad that some one else seemed eager to get going, started to walk again. after a few steps he stopped and turned around to face the group.
"Since I really don't know where this inn is i think that Tasselhoff, Sturm, or Isilwen should lead. They are the ones who've been here before."

"Oooooh! I'll lead! I'll lead!" Tas said, running to the front of the line. He gathered himself up to his full height, trying to look brave and wise. "C'mon lads and lasses, let us go forward, to the Inn of the Last Home!" He shouted, pointed his fist toward the distant lights, acting as though he were holding a one handed short sword, about to go into battle. "Onward!" He called, skipping along as swiftly as possible. "Are you sure you don't want to hear my story right now? It's all about my adventures in Kendermore. Did I ever tell you that I met a magician once? He was crazed and evil, and tried to kill us all, but I saved the day by charging forward victoriously and slaying him. It was so wonderful. You sure you don't want to hear the rest of my story?"

"The stories can wait," said Sturm, walking behind Tas. "I am sure most of us wants to reach the Inn before night falls, and the less time we spend chattering the sooner we'll be there."
