Through the forrest all you could hear was the sound of hooves hitting agianst the ground. Connected to those hooves was a unicorn mare of the age of 46. Now to some that may seem old while others could see that as too young. For her she didn't care all she knew through this forrest was on how to survive.
The mare's black coat gleamed in the moonlight while she walked throughout the night. Most nights she would just spend the whole time walking through the forrest to explore while other nights she would lead a lost traveler home before morning. Rose just sighed softly as she looked around her before comming to a complete stop.

OOC:: I'll be roleplaying as my second character, Atticus.
IC:: Atticus Dhiren was making his weekly round through the forest. He took slow, gentle footsteps, careful not to awaken any sleeping animals, or attract any attention to himself. He loved taking walks through this marvelous forest, enjoying the view. It got him away from his everyday tasks, such as practicing magic or fretting about paperwork. It also kept him away from the other mages, who, for some reason, ignored Atticus, and secretly envied him. He had always enjoyed the other mages' company, and had always been kind to them, but this day he decided it was time to take a break.
In the distance, the sound of hooves attracted his attention. Turning, he glared into the darkness, searching for a glimpse of his follower. When he saw nothing he turned his attention back to the path ahead. After a few more moments of silent walking he heard the same beat again, this time ahead of him. "Hello?" He shouted, peering into the trees ahead of him. "Is anyone there?"

Rose had been walking slowly when she heard the sound of an annoyed greeting so she moved onwards to pass him. When she heard him call out agian she shook her head while then turning around to walk back towards the sound of his voice while staying on the path. Once she spotted him she raised her head up high to allow her mane to cascade down her neck and shoulders.
She looked over the human carefully with a smile in her gaze. She was only about twelve feet away from the human as she studied him carefully. She had only seen few humans this year, and none of them had had this one's scent of magic. She then turned her head towards the side when she noticed a staff in his hand as he had been walking the path.

Atticus stared ahead in silent awe, watching the beautiful beast. It's mane cascaded down the neck in a brilliant flow. This was the most wonderful sight his eyes had beheld in long time. "Uh-I . . ." He stuttered, too wrapped up in amazement to speak. He took a step forward, toward the unicorn, his gaze drifting from the beast's mane, to her elegant legs and slender body. "Who are you?" He asked, eyeing the unicorn.
He had never thought of running into anyone in the forest, much less a beast of such great beauty. He had no idea that such marvelous creatures still existed in the world. Now he would have something to tell the other pupils at the Tower of High Sorcery. They would look up to him for once in his life for having spoken to a such a magical beast. He woud be the center of attention.

Rose looked up towards him slowly as she took about five steps towards him. Then she slowly lowered her head towards a rose vine to indicate the first part of her name. She then slowly raised her head back up towards him softly before opening her mouth trying to get the words past her throat " Rose KindHeart." You could see the struggle as she tried to speak to him in a language he could understand.
She had seen the shock on his face when she had come out of the shadows of the trees. She then noticed how his face had taken on a look of admiration or deep thought just as she decided to move closer. When she was about three feet away she stopped and moved her head closer towards his chest in a friendly manner keeping her horn away from his skin.

It took Atticus a few moments to finally realize what she was trying to tell him. After he understood he nodded, showing that he understood. She would probably understand him as well. "I am Atticus Dhiren." He said, saying it slowly. He smiled to show that he was friendly, and gazed at the unicorn with admiration in his eyes. He had to make the best of this moment, to take it all in. Then, when he returned to the tower, he would be sure to tell his classmates all about the encounter.
All around him the forest was silent, dark, and foreboding. But here it was peaceful and warm, when he was in the presence of the unicorn.

Rose smiled softly when she heard his name. She then slowly shook her neck abit as she placed her head on his shoulder. Slowly so as not to hurt him she nibbled lightly on his hair playfully before she pulled back lightly with a smile. Then she began to speak slowly " What is a young mage doing out here?"
It had been alittle while since she had last come across anyone especially a mage. She looked at him softly while taking in how this young man stood as if he had something to prove. With a low nicker that she kept in her throat she raised her head up to watch the nighttime animals wake up.

Atticus laughed, and smiled up at the magnificent animal, once more taking in her beauty. He spoke slowly as well, in case she had difficulty understanding him. "I am going on a walk." He spoke softly and slowly, still keeping his eyes on the unicorn. He could ask her the same question. What was a unicorn, a beast of mythical power, doing in the middle of a forest, where she could possible be in danger. If anyone unwelcome found her, she would have no one to defend her.
The night time animals began to awaken, and Atticus turned his gaze to behind him, where he could see the goings on of the forest. It was still deathly dark in the shadow of the trees, and was more eerie than ever. "What are you doing here?" He asked finally, glad to hear the sound of his voice once more.

Rose sighed softly as she then looked towards him slowly before speaking " I don't know. I got tired of my herd, and then of traveling so I came here. I must admit it is challenging at times" she spoke while looking around her.
She had noticed how he seemed to look at her before so with a small smile she thought that she would do something nice for him. She took a couple steps back away from him before she then turned sideways to her left side was to him. Then she slowly kneeled down in front of him so that he could hop on her back if he liked. " Give the mages something to talk of for awhile" she spoke with a twinkle in her eye. Her speaking was getting better as she practiced with him on it.

Atticus was amazed at Rose's sudden movement. He watched her kneel down, and a smile lit his face. "Thank you Rose." He said, still smiling. Carefully, trying not to hurt her, he clambered onto her back. "I have never ridden on anything other than a horse." He admitted. His gaze shifted behind him, into the darkness, once more before he turned his full attention to the road ahead. A lock of long, brown hair fell over his eyes, and he pushed it hastily away. This would most certainly give the mages something to talk about. He may even be respected for once in his life. I'd like to see the look on those mage's faces when they see me. He thought.
